The lodge is built on raised ground with panoramic views of the distant Samburu hills to one side, El Ndonyo Keri (Samburu name for Mt. Kenya) on the other and far enough away from the Ewaso Ngiro River to be safe from
flooding.
The construction and décor are Samburu style with thatched roofs, ochre walls and local artifacts as decoration.
