OVERVIEW
Satao Camp is an exclusive tented wander. Nestling among the Tamarind trees, overlooking the busy watering hole the camp provides tranquility & relaxation in the “Eden of East Africa”.
ACCOMMODATION
• The camp was built 8 years ago & has 20 tents & 40 beds. All tents are en-suite & were built in a semi circle ensuring all get a front view of the watering hole.
• Each tent has been constructed out of eco friendly materials, sisal & boriti poles topped with a makuti roof. The tents are attractively furnished with proper beds & unique masai decorated covers. The front of the tents have their own patio with a table & chairs. There is also a disabled tent with wheelchair access.
•Each tent offers a luxurious standard of comfort & have a private bathroom with running water, an African Bush style shower & flush toilets.
MEALS
• Your days at Satao start off with a cup of coffee/tea in the restaurant before heading off for an early morning game drive. Upon your return you will greeted by a ‘Full English’ or ‘Continental’ breakfast with an array of fresh fruits. Lunch is served under the
tamarind tree & is followed by another game drive & later dinner. An optional extra on offer is a ‘Sundowner in the bush’ which promises to be an unique & unforgettable experience!
Typical 3 day and 2 night itinerary ex Mombasa Beach Hotels
Day 1:
You will be collected from your Hotel early in the morning and drive to Bachuma Gate, the entry point into Tsavo East National Park. Driving through the park, you will appreciate the immensity of the plains and the large diversity of wildlife. Once you have reached a lush wooded oasis of Tamarind Trees, you have arrived at Satao Camp. Your hosts will contribute to ensure a truly memorable experience. After Lunch at Satao Camp there will be time for relaxation before a late afternoon game drive, with a visit to Aruba dam and its surroundings. Drive back to Satao Camp for Dinner & overnight.
Day 2:
Early morning game drive before breakfast. Lunch in Satao Camp. Afternoon relaxation with a game drive in the early evening, returning to Camp for Dinner & overnight.
Day 3:
Early morning game drive and Breakfast at Satao before the drive back to Mombasa and your hotel, arriving around 13h00
