A very popular stopover pre or post safaris , this is the perfect place to start or end your safari experience in Tanzania.Nestled between the peaks of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru Game Lodge & Sanctuary lies midway between Kilimanjaro International Airport and Arusha.
The Lodge is located within 33 acres of beautiful gardens bounded on one side by the tranquil waters of the Usa River and on the other by the Animal Sanctuary where our resident animals and birds reside. Access to the Lodge is entirely by tarmac road making the journey to the lodge all the more pleasant for the weary traveller.
The lodge comprises 15 double or twin en-suite bedrooms and 2 suites.
The design and character of the rooms are as individualistic as the lodge itself.
All rooms have a veranda with comfortable chairs where guests may sit during the late afternoons enjoying the peace of the surroundings, soaking up the unique atmosphere of the Lodge and watching the animal and birdlife. The suites are located in their own private garden and are ideal also for families and small groups to whom privacy is very important.
Accommodation features include single, queen and king size four-poster, wrought iron beds with fitted mosquito nets, continental quilts (sheets and blankets are available on request ) and much more.
Guests can soak up the beauty of the landscape whilst sitting on the terrace , the lounge or at the bar having sundowners.
The lodge has internet facilities as well as " Mia's Boutique " for good quality goods.
Meals are served out in the gardens ( weather permitting ) for guests to enjoy the sounds of nature. Guided walks are offered by the lodge to Usa River for guests to interract with the local village and learn about the way of life here in Arusha.
