OVERVIEW
Beyt al Chai takes its romantic name from the history of the building which, in years long past, was a traditional tea house.

ACCOMMODATION
- The skillful conversion of he old house has resulted in just 6 en-suite, air conditioned bedrooms/suites which combine tradition, the comfort of modern amenities & luxury.
- The two Sultan “Suites” are on the top floor & have good views over the square & out to sea.
- They are large (40 square meters) & sumptuously furnished with antique & traditional Zanzibari/Arab furniture.
- The three Prince Rooms are 25 square meters & have separate dressing area. The Princes Room is smaller & normally occupied on a single basis.

FACILITIES
- Located in the peaceful seclusion of Kelele Square Beyt al Chai is just a few minutes walk from the centre of Stone Town & all its attractions.
- The traditional reception on the ground floor is kept cool by shuttered windows, thick stone walls & a high ceiling, & is elegantly furnished with a combination of antique furniture & pieces of African art.
- Lounge & Bar—the spacious & breezy lounge is furnished with huge comfortable sofas & armchairs
grouped to give privacy & comfort for those who want to relax, write postcards, read books or just sip a cool drink & enjoy the gentle music in the background.

- Breakfast is served in the palm shaded courtyard & includes a choice of local pastries, fresh tropical fruits & fresh coconut juice.
- A full English or European breakfast is available on request.
- Ideally located on the ground floor but separate from the Hotel, The Beyt al Chai Restaurant offers a fusion of Zanzibar & European Cuisine.
