Ocean Paradise Resort is situated on the east coast of Zanzibar, approximately 60 kms away from Stone Town and the Airport.
Overview
Set on a beautiful 6,5 hectare site, the resort will captivate you from the moment you enter the reception with it's breathtaking views over the palm fringed beach and azure blue water of the Indian Ocean.
Accommodation
Accommodation consists of 100 traditionally styled bungalows (see below). Each room is fully airconditioned with satellite television and radio, direct dial telephone, ceiling fan, ensuite bathroom with shower, bidet and toilet, private terrace, mini bar and hairdryer. In addition, the Junior Suites have a spacious living room equipped with a televison, mini bar and telephone. Some rooms have interconnecting doors for families.
With effect from 06 January 2011 the Rooms at Ocean Paradise will be re categorized to better reflect their location within the Resort and accessibility to the Beach, Pool and dining areas.
Superior Rooms: No change, located in single storey chalets in the lower area of the Resort, all in close proximity to the Pool and Public areas.
Superior Seafront Rooms: No change, located in single storey chalets all directly in front of the Private Beach. All have a Sea View.
Superior Garden Rooms: New category. Located in double storey blocks in the mid section of the Resort, closest to reception and main Restaurant.
Standard Garden Rooms: New category. Located in double storey blocks with garden views at the rear of the Resort.
Facilities
Ocean Paradise offers a selection of bars and restaurants with themed buffets and barbecues. The lagoon style swimming pool and sun lounging terraces are located just metres away from the shoreline. For those who feel a little more energetic there is a tennis court and fully equipped fitness and leisure centre, watersports centre (scuba diving, snorkelling, sailing, windsurfing and canoes), table tennis and billiards. An animation team offers a variety of activities during the day such as Water Gymnastics, Stretching, Beach Volleyball and other games. Evening entertainment includes acrobatic shows, traditional dancers, resident band and the Jungle Disco and Bar. A fully equipped Business Centre is available to guests and offers secretarial services, computer centre, internet & email access, fax and photcopying. The hotel operates a high quality, tastefully decorated and well stocked boutique offering fashion garments and accessories sourced primarily from the East African region as well as a wide range of products from African books, postcards and selected toiletries for your convenience. The hotel offers laundry faciltiies, large screen TV and doctor on call 24 hours.
