Unguja Resort is a small scale resort which is owner run, located on the Southern tip of Zanzibar in the quiet village of Kizimkazi. The resort exudes a luxurious and relaxed atmosphere.
The resort offer 10 private and very spacious villas scattered around the lodge with various views ( 6 sea view , 1 standard villa and 3 baobab villas ) , each consists of a spacious bedroom with a double bed , mosquito nets , ceiling fan , private safe , baraza style sitting room , bathroom with shower , seperate toilet and private terrace. Aircon in the bedroom and private plunge pools are added extras in the Baobab villas.
Facilities include a beautiful specially conditioned swimming pool , bar and restaurant area where all meals are served. Early morning tea and coffee is served in the villas.
The resort offers a PADI 5 * Dive centre offering various dive excursions on a traditional dhow boat as well as snorkelling trips.
Kizimkazi is well known for the many dolphins which inhabit the area and swimming close to these magnificent animals is certainly a unique experience.
