8 DAYS / 7 NIGHTS - Itinerary
DAY ONE
You will be collected from your Nairobi Hotel by your Driver/Guide and depart on Safari driving South to Tsavo West National Park, which is situated halfway between Nairobi and the coast. This park is a vast area of dry scrubland, rocky outcrops and roaming wild animals. After lunch you will be taken on an afternoon game drive, with a stop at the famous Mzima Springs, where crystal clear water gushes out of the rocky ground and creates an oasis of luxuriant growth. Hippos are often seen and there is an underwater viewing area.

DAY TWO
After an early morning game drive and breakfast in Tsavo we drive to Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for lunch. Amboseli is situated at the foot of the towering, snow capped Mount Kilimanjaro (the tallest mountain in Africa) This 1,000 sq. mile park is best known for its abundance of Elephant. A late afternoon game drive offers us an opportunity to see these proud giants up close and the chance to spot the many other species of animals and birds.

DAY THREE
A pre-breakfast game drive is an excellent time to view the game and when the snow-clad peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro are at their most visible. After lunch, another game drive includes a visit to the Amboseli Swamps, which teem with wildlife and an amazing assortment of birds.

DAY FOUR
After an early breakfast, we drive back to Nairobi where we stop for lunch, before proceeding north towards Mt. Kenya and the Aberdare Salient for the unique experience of observing animals at night. In the afternoon we drive to a dramatic wooden lodge built deep within the forest. A floodlit water-hole and salt-lick in full view of the comfortable lounge areas, allow guests to watch animals at any time of the night, Rhino, Lion, Elephant and Buffalo are regular visitors.

DAY FIVE
After breakfast we drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, located down in The Great Rift Valley with a stop at Thompson’s Falls. The park is best known for its flocks of pink Flamingos, sometimes numbering over a million. The park is rich in other bird life and home to many other animals including a proliferation of Waterbuck and Warthogs. Lions and the everelusive Leopard abound and the park is also the home to a White Rhino sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at your Lodge.

DAY SIX
Depart Lake Nakuru after breakfast and drive to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve via The Great Rift Valley and Narok. We will arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or luxury tented camp. In the afternoon you have a game drive in this spectacular reserve, which is known for it’s superb game viewing and which sustains all of the ‘Big Five’ including the largest population of Lion in Kenya.

DAY SEVEN
Early morning and afternoon game drives allow you the chance to enjoy the interaction of wild animals in the magnificent park like settings of the Maasai Mara. As well as searching for the Big Five, you will see herds of plains game and spot many marvellous birds. The enormous landscape of the Mara and its concentration of many varieties of game, make it a fitting climax to your safari.

DAY EIGHT
Enjoy breakfast before driving back via The Great Rift Valley to arrive in Nairobi at approximately 13h00. Drop off at your Nairobi Hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for onward / return flight.
